Steven James Accountants firm was established in the 1970’s, it was originally owned by Eric C Butler and Co and Steve was appointed as the managing director in 2006 and has built a reputation during that time for delivering exceptional business advisory and pro-active tax planning strategies before 30 June arrives.

Steven J Ascough Managing Director

Steve’s expertise and passion is in working closing with business owners, to establish a better understanding of their long-term vision and goals and then to develop an expansive strategy, map out a plan and assign the right people from within our team, to meet all your businesses and taxation requirements. Steve provides ongoing advice to clients on their tax planning and minimisation goals, along with, business strategy, budgets, cash flow forecasting, asset protection, exit strategy and general consulting services. His experience extends across a range of industries, including property development, building & construction, manufacturing, retail, and professional services. Steve’s exceptional ability with numbers, makes him a natural Business adviser/accountant. He has developed close relationships with his clients over the years to assist them with the expansion of their businesses and the realization of their business value and personal wealth goals. 
Tony Perez Head of Accounting

Tony is a professionally qualified accountant with 25+ years’ experience in business & dedicated taxation services. Tony’s clients extend over a wide range of industries and services, from small start-up’s to mid-sized corporates. His role incorporates managing the team at SJA  to ensure all business’s compliance needs are processed in an efficient and timely manner. Having years of experience Tony thrives the most when working through complex taxation & corporate issues. Carolina Benzo Payroll Manager

Carolina is head of our payroll division and has more than 12 years payroll experience along with 10 years of bookkeeping experience, she provides payroll services for a cross-section of small to medium businesses over a wide variety of industries. She is detailed orientated and prides herself in delivering accurate, high-quality and time efficient payroll run. She also has excellent customer service skills.
























Sharleen Ringuet Head of Bookkeeping

Sharleen brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team. With a strong track record extending to over 12 years in the field of bookkeeping/accounts industry, she combines expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering a superior service. As Head of our Bookkeeping department, Sharleen will oversee all aspects of your financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality. Her goal is to provide you with a seamless and effortless experience, allowing you to focus on what you do best while she takes care of your bookkeeping needs. Sharleen currently works with a portfolio of over 90 clients, spanning over my industries
